
Pushing is dangerous though, because 1s (from the initial roll or the reroll) cause problems.

If the situation is dire, you can "push" the roll, rerolling any that didn't come up 1 or 6. If you get a 6 on one of your dice, that's a success (extra 6s can usually get you extra bonuses). Add your stat, skill, and gear bonus together to get your pool (you want to have different color dice for each one though). The core dice mechanic is to make dice pools of d6s. There is also another book coming out (possibly this year) that ties in with the rest that takes it to space, called Ad Astra. One is for Human Mutants (Mutant Year Zero), one is for Animal Mutants (Genlab Alpha) (these two together will get you a game similar to the video game), one is for Robots (Mechatron), and one is for plain ol' Humans (Elysium). There are four core books, each one can be ran on their own, or combined together. It's kind of my current obsession.įirst, the system is broken up into different books.
